ERMA TECH GROUP Participates in 13th EMSA – SEA Europe Annual Workshop

ERMA TECH GROUP participated in the 13th Joint European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA)SEA Europe Annual Workshop on March 4, held on March 4 at EMSA Headquarters in Lisbon. The event brought together representatives from shipyards, maritime equipment manufacturers, and key industry stakeholders from across Europe for a day of high-level dialogue on the future of European maritime technologies and shipbuilding.

Representing ERMA TECH GROUP through HEMEXPO – Hellenic Marine Equipment Manufacturers & Exporters, Ms. Efi Tsolaki, Mr. Dimitris Tsoulos, and Mr. Dimitris Koutsaftis took part in discussions addressing the technological and environmental developments shaping the maritime sector’s transition.

The workshop focused on several strategic themes critical to the future of the industry, including automation and digitalisation, covering advancements in remote and unmanned operations, artificial intelligence frameworks, and cybersecurity. Discussions also addressed carbon management solutions, such as carbon capture technologies and emerging clean energy approaches for maritime applications.

Additional topics included retrofitting and sustainability initiatives, with particular attention to shore power integration, biofouling management, and circular manufacturing practices. Participants also explored innovative materials and technologies, including lightweight composites, advanced manufacturing techniques, and new design approaches for maritime equipment.

The workshop provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, industry collaboration, and strategic dialogue, reinforcing the importance of cooperation between technology providers, shipyards, and regulatory bodies in shaping the future of European maritime innovation.
